The projects FOXES and GreEnergy have become partner projects!
Both projects aim at realizing fully integrated systems for harvesting and storing solar energy, to enable smart devices that never need to be charged from an external power supply and do not depend on batteries.
The projects differ however in their technological approach: while FOXES the energy-harvesting element will be a lead-free solar cell, #GreEnergy aims at prototyping a system based on optical nano-antennas. Which approach will prove more successful?
FOXES and GreEnergy are both funded by European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme.
